It’s clean, convenient to the French Quarter and offers a lot of gaming options. Unfortunately, it is usually packed to the gills and sometimes it is hard to get on a game, especially on weekends. But if you go during the week, it is awesome.
3) Tunica Casino Resorts, Tunica, Miss. There are several very nice casinos in this area. This is essentially a collection that is not unlike none of the gambling centers. But if you are driving through Tunica, this is a place to stop.
4) Laberge du Lac, Lake Charles Louisiana. This is one of the nicest and most luxurious casino hotels you will find outside Las Vegas. It is convenient for people coming from both Houston and Baron Rouge. It does not have a poker room but is planning to add one. Other than that, you will think you are in Las Vegas. Right up the road is another very nice casino in Kinder, La., the Grand Casino Coushatta. While it is a little father away, it has a very nice poker room in addition to an excellent casino setup.
5) Harrah’s St. Louis. Another excellent casino that is a little off the beaten path. It’s a long haul from the city, but it is very nice. They have a weird rule there that you are only allowed to lose so much in a 24-hour period. Other than that, however, it is a great place for gaming.
