If you're going to play in an online casino, you'd probably want to try out a blackjack game. With edgy software, the online game has great graphics and sounds. When you play online blackjack, you wouldn't have to play with other players. You can play against the casino.
Initially, the players would have to place his bet. After which the dealer would then deal cards to himself and to the player. The dealer would then deal two cards - one facing up and the other facing down. The objective of the game is for the player to create a hand with a value adding up to 21.
Face cards like Kings, Queens and Jacks have 10-point value while an ace card has 11-point value. The rest of the number cards are generally valued at their face value.
Now, if the player holds a 21-value hand, he has a blackjack hand. He, therefore, wins the game. Otherwise, if the dealer has the hand, the dealer wins and the player loses his bet. What if they both have a Blackjack? This would result to a "push" or a tie.
Curiously, there are different kinds of Blackjack. You have the Face up 21, Match Play 21, Pontoon Blackjack and Super Play 21. What are the differences between these different kinds?
The Face-up Blackjack basically uses 8 decks with 52 cards. When the cards are dealt, they are dealt face up. If the House would like to win, the dealer has to end up with a soft 17. The great thing about this version is that the Blackjack wins every time. It doesn't matter what the dealer has, the blackjack wins even if the dealer, himself, holds a Blackjack. However, if both of them hold the same non-Blackjack hand, the dealer wins.
Matchplay 21 is another version of the game. This version uses 8 decks with 48 cards. The unique twist to this version is that all 10 value cards are removed. However, similar to the Face-Up 21, the dealer has to hit a soft 17 so he'd win. The blackjack also wins against any other hand even if both the player and the dealer hold a 21.
Pontoon 21 uses 52 cards in 2 decks. The Pontoon hand is created by combining the Ace with a 10. Whenever there is a tie, the dealer wins.
Super Fun Blackjack uses 52 cards in 8 decks. Similar to Matchplay and Face-Up, the player wins the game if both the player and the dealer hold a Blackjack.
