There are literally thousands of places you can play blackjack. It is a staple of casinos around the world, and every online casino offers some version of the game. Microgaming casinos in particular have multiple versions of blackjack available for players of all skill levels.

Whether you are playing live or in a microgaming casino, there is a basic chart you can use to determine how to play. Dozens of variations of this exist online, and you should use these as a reference when you play.

There are a few differences in all of them, but most experts agree on something close to this as a basic strategy. This is a version of the charts you will find online.
First is the chart for how to play soft hands. A soft hand is one that contains an ace, meaning the value can be either 1 or 11. Remember you can only see one of the dealer’s cards.
A2, A3 – Hit, unless the dealer has four through six, in which case double.
A4, A4 – Hit, unless the dealer has four through six, in which case double.
A6 – Hit, unless the dealer has three through six, in which case double.
A7 – Hit, unless the dealer has 7 or 8, in which case stand. Double on three through six.
A8, A9 – Stand.
A-10 is 21 so obviously you stand.

This is the chart for hard hands, where your two starting cards do no contain an ace.
3-8 – Hit.
9 – Hit, unless the dealer has three through six, in which case double.
10 – Hit, unless the dealer has two through nine, in which case double.
11 – Hit unless dealer has two through 10, in which case double.
12 – Hit, unless the dealer has four through six, in which case stand.
13-16 – Hit, unless the dealer has two through six, in which case stand.
17-21 – Stand.

Knowing when to split a hand with pairs is critical too. Here is that chart:

A-A: Split.
10-10: Stand.
9-9: Stand if the dealer has 7, 10 or Ace. Split 2-6, 8-9.
8-8: Split.
7-7: Hit. Split if the dealer has two through seven.
6-6: Hit. Split if the dealer has two through six.
5-5: Hit. Double if the dealer has two through nine.
4-4: Hit. Split if the dealer has 5 or 6.
3-3: Hit. Split if the dealer has 2 or 7.
2-2: Hit. Split if the dealer has 2 or 7.

By following the rules of this basic chart, you will make sound plays in any microgaming casinos or any real casinos. You can find numerical versions of this chart all over the Web. Print them out and keep them with you so you can use it as a reference.

Winning blackjack in microgaming casinos is based on solid math and a strategic approach. As your game improves, you will learn to apply these tactics by rote. In the interim, spend times in microgaming casinos seeing how this strategy will work for you.
